Established in 2002, The Rosewater Theatre is family owned and operated by husband and wife team Lisa Sherouse Riley and G. Scott Riley. The Rileys, along with their innovative production team have been producing professional quality productions in Cumming for over 4 years and are thrilled to be able to bring the same professional quality theatre to Roswell, Georgia. Their are known as the premiere theatre company in the greater Forsyth County area. They plan on bringing the same quality and caliber of theatre to the Roswell area and are absolutely thrilled to be a part of the North Fulton arts scene as well as another addition to Georgia's Hospitality Highway. November of 2004 marked the arrival of The Rosewater Theatre to the Cumming Playhouse where they staged Charles Dickens' classic tale "A Christmas Carol." Due to overwhelming popularity they brought the three spirits and old Ebenezer Scrooge back again for an additional 3 years. Since then, The Rosewater Theatre has presented numerous shows at the Cumming Playhouse including Nunsense, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Little Shop of Horrors, Barefoot in the Park, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Greater Tuna, See How They Run, Chicago & more. In February of 2008 they were thrilled to open the doors to their new location in Roswell. The new Rosewater Theatre is formerly known as the Roswell Village Playhouse and is located on the corner of Alpharetta Hwy and Holcomb Bridge Rd. The theatre has undergone some major cosmetic renovations and houses two stages, the Cabaret Stage, which is a proscenium stage and the Rendezvous stage, which is a theatre in the round. The Rosewater Theatre plans on offering up to 15 shows per year on both stages, a full children's drama department, summer drama camps and numerous acting and dance classes. They will also be hosting performances by the The Shakespeare Studio, Forsyth County's only Shakespeare group. Their theatre is also available for rent for special occasions, seminars and gatherings. Although they have opened up their
own location in Roswell the Rosewater Theatre has no plans to leave
the Cumming area and still plan on providing their patrons with
professional quality productions as long as they are welcome at the
Cumming Playhouse. A huge thanks goes to Linda Heard, the Playhouse
Director, for all her continuing support. They would also like
to thank everyone that has contributed to their success over the past
few years and to their loyal patrons for coming to see their shows. For Directions to our Theatre CLICK HERE
