Professional Musical Theatre Camps

The Rosewater Theatre is thrilled to be offering a wonderful Musical Theatre Camp Program this summer taught by professionals. The Rosewater Theatre Camp is not just for putting on a show. It also includes professional lessons on Acting, Monologues, Choreography, Music, & Auditioning. Our camp is not a day care and the students will have to work and learn but have a great time doing so.

The camps will run for 2 weeks, which will include all the lessons followed by auditioning and casting a musical show. The show will rehearse for part of Week 1 and the whole of Week 2 culminating in three performances over the weekend. Each candidate will be expected to audition for placement and their audition will decide which group they will be placed in. Each student is promised a positive and fun experience.

We take great pride in our Youth Theatre and treat our students like "young adults". They will truly get a feel for what theatre is all about and help prepare them for the future whether it be in theatre studies or not.

Program One

June 7 - 18, Monday thru Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM

Group One - Beginner/Intermediate - Ages 8 - 16

Group Two - Intermediate/Advanced - Ages 13 -18

Program Two

July 5 - 16, Monday thru Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM

Group One - Beginner/Intermediate - Ages 8 - 16

Group Two - Intermediate/Advanced - Ages 13 -18

Fee: Only $300 for the whole two week camp including all lessons, show & costume except for personal items such as shoes, tights, and make-up. Each student will receive 2 comp tickets each to their performance. This is a great deal for an all inclusive camp.

Auditions:

Weds, June 2 from 4 PM to 6 PM

Thurs, June 3 from 6 PM to 8:30 PM

Each candidate must be prepared to sing a minimum of 16 bars of music and have a one minute monologue already prepared for audition. Please bring sheet music or a CD to audition. Additional monologues may be given out at the audition for the candidate to look over and then asked to read.

Placement is limited to a maximum of 25 students per Group. Deposit of $150 will be due at the audition. Remaining fees will be due 7 days before camp begins. A minimum of 18 students in each group will be required for the camp to take place. No refunds on deposits unless there is a major emergency or if the camp is canceled. Early drop off and late pick up may be available depending on the number of students requiring this. Fee amount for this service is to be decided.
